When submitting your MOC there are several things you can do to maximise the number of Likes/Followers/Sales you make.
Use a clear, interesting main image. Preferably a physically built model which tells people that it is possible to build in real life; avoid screenshots of digital models. The thumbnails generated for MOCs are in 5:4 and 5:3 aspect ratios so wide images work better than tall images.
Add multiple images to show off other angles or features of your MOC, or include embedded images in your description.
Use a video to further show off any functionality you may have in your MOC. If the MOC includes motorisation, transformations, etc, a video is a must.
Add a description to your MOC. Maybe it just describes the features, or maybe you can tell a story that goes with your MOC. Embedded images or video can be used here to really emphasise details.
If you have many MOCs to submit, spread them out with at least a day or two in between each one. This will help you gain new followers after each submission. The more followers you have, the more people are notified when you submit a MOC. Remember, it may take a day for each MOC to be approved if you haven't been placed on the auto-approve list yet.
Make sure your parts inventory contains no errors. If it has errors, a warning will be displayed which may turn people off from trying to build it. See Fixing MOC Errors for details.
Selling Premium MOCs
There are four main factors that influence how successful your Premium MOC is, beyond any other factor:
1. Followers - Build up a fan base When you submit a MOC, your Rebrickable Followers receive a notification. User's are more likely to Like/Follow you from your Free MOCs as they are easier to download and build. So it's often worth building up a base of fans via Free MOCs before submitting Premium MOCs. If you submit nothing but Premium MOCs, you are far less likely to build up Followers.
2. Promotions The most successful Premium MOCs tend to be heavily promoted by the designer - both on-site (discounts, coupons, messaging existing customers, etc) and off-site. After your Premium MOC is published on Rebrickable, promote it on other social media sites (in a non-spammy way!).
3. Cost of Instructions and Parts Take a look at other Premium MOCs before deciding a price for your MOC instructions. The average purchase price based on actual sales on Rebrickable is USD $9, with far more selling below that than above it. Designers who have already built up an audience and have successfully sold MOCs in the past can be successful at charging higher prices. However, new designers should consider cheaper prices in order to build up that following, or you risk not making any sales at all. In short - start low, you can always raise it later.
There is also the cost of the LEGO parts required to build the MOC. Alternate Builds (MOCs that use the parts from a single set) are far easier to sell as it is easier for customers to buy the parts, and often they will already have them. Huge builds with thousands of parts might look impressive but if no-one can build it, they won't buy the instructions.
4. Quality of instructions Premium MOCs require PDF instructions. But there are good and bad ones, depending on how you generate them. Take the time to design good step-by-step instructions that will make buyers come back for more. If your instructions are no good, buyers may place negative comments on your MOC which can turn away future buyers. If you interact with users in your comments and use that feedback to improve your instructions, however, it can go a long way to establishing trust with potential buyers.

When you first submit a MOC it will be visible on the main page and users' home pages for a short duration, as well as under the Newest MOCs page. However, beyond that it is harder for people to find your MOCs. To improve this you can do a number of things:
Comment on other people's MOCs (useful/thoughtful messages though, or risk being flagged as spam). If people are interested in you, they can visit your profile and see your MOCs there.
Monitor the comments on your MOCs, and respond to questions - especially if it is a Premium MOC.
Add relevant Tags to your MOCs to help anyone searching for specific terms.
Include good names and descriptions in your MOCs to help with searching.
Promote your MOCs on external websites and social media. The more views your MOC gets, the more likely it is to be seen on the Hottest MOCs tab. See the impacts of your social media posts on your MOC Analytics page referrals chart.
Keep submitting MOCs - the more you have, the more they will be seen and it's easier to find the rest of your MOCs.
